Harmonic Damper Question
I was wondering if and aftermarket damper is any better than the stock one. If they are any better I will get one but if there isnt any different I might as well stay stock. I dont pan on spending more than $200 on one if I do. Also what size would I need.
THANKS

Are they better, you betcha.
Are they truly critical on a relatively low revving stocker.
Not really in a cost vs. performance standpoint.
Getitng into high dollar stuff or high revving and I would always consider it relaitvely cheap insurance at that point.
Best bet if a stocker, just replace it(if its bad) with a quality replacement and be done.

I think the best one is an ATI brand but, like 3.8 said, if you not going to be twisting it then a stock one would work just fine, but you may also look at a SUMMIT brand balancer, its a good bang for the buck, I think its about 189.00 or so the last time I looked, and its also an SFI rated balancer. Also make sure you have a install tool, thats the only way to really install one, I know some people used to just beat them on with a hammer and block of wood but thats not good. Good luck.
