pretty interesting article.
i agree with most of it. 10hp for ignition system and 3hp for HEI coil pack does seem optimistic
and 20hp for hooker long tube headers seems kinda low.
i would say tho, gears and torque converter with headers/catback are great first mods... gut the factory airbox and add a high flow filter and you'lll be happy.
then ditching stock TPI and adding 1.6 rockers with AFPR will be good gains

I just looked at it briefly but a couple of things caught my eye. One was the "dreaded Australian nine bolt" rear end. Most people I know would gladly have one over the 10 bolt. I would say the "dreaded 10 bolt".
Another was the 100HP increase by installing the race chip. That will be the day.

The second page is turbo buick bolt-ons, and yes you could see 100 HP with a chip on one of those. Crank up the boost and adjust the fuel/timing and you'll rock.
