Gas prices

I want a 91-92 camaro. It will be my first car. I want a 350 5.7 liter but gas sucks. I will have a job, but it wont be great. Maybe Target or Lowes or something like that. I dont plan to race, but to me a V6 in a camaro just seems stupid and weak. What would you reccomend a stock V6 or a 350 V8, it'll be automatic.

It takes money to play, but at least you'd have a cool car for school. Get an L98 and have fun.

Why not just get a cheap beater for daily use, and save your L98 for the weekends? That's what I did. The formy stays parked under a cover on all but the nicest days. I bought a 93 Mazda 323 for my 30 mile round trip commute for $500. That's nothing when you consider this car gets 33 MPG, and it's so basic (doesn't even have power steering) so there's not a lot to break. At 2.50+/gallon, it's already paid for itself. Plus, it keeps the miles off my other vehicles, which are all more expensive to keep tires on and maintain. The other thing I noticed, is that driving the firebird is now a rare treat- like I just got a new car everytime I drive it.

No doubt,
Gas here just hit $2.89 so I am going to buy a little box on wheels with a big ole 3 banger as the power source. Not bad for $350 from my local JY, I have 82xxx on my 85 and I really need to not use it so much, gas is killing me.
