so i bought my TA in january, and when i first got it, it ran great, but now it runs like ****
i took it to a shop and they claim the transmission is outta whack
but heres the problem
im driving down the road and the car seems to drag its self around, and sometimes(not always) ill be accelerating and it will suddenly stop and start reving out as if its in neuteral?? it also stalls out ocasionaly

wut could it be??
i wanna do more

 

the engine sounding like it's reving in netural while in drive sounds like a bad tranny

 

where is the fluid level at when it is warmed up on a level surface.

I know it sucks, but if you own one of these cars you have to love to tear it apart and put it back together again just as something else requires attention

that might be a bit dramatic but if you wanted something that will be trouble free get a new *****

I love the cars and I am sure you will to as soon as you get over the fact that untill you replace every part on the car you might not have to replace the new parts yet!!!

 

my 89 ta did the same thing it started when i was racing on the freeway. mine would only drive in 1st and 2nd then after that it would just rev as if it was in nuetral. mechanic said i blew the tranny so i converted mine into a manuel with a t-56
