Can you help a new guy out?

Hey guys I am a Corvette guy please don't hold that against me.
I am in search of more power for my 87 TPI and I am really digging the stealth ram. No one on the Vette forums can give alot of info about these due to the fact that you have to change the hood for it to fit and not alot of guys want to do that. I am doing a cowl hood so that is not an issue.
So my questions are to you guys using this intake are what kind of power changes can I expect to see from this over a TPI? Any cam recommendations? I am having my heads ported and polished and adding headers so this is my last hurddle to get started.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Just from the stealth ram alone you're gonna get 20-30 hp (at the crank). Be sure to get fuel rails with a AFP regulator, you'll be able to get it going a little quicker. Im not sure but I think you might have to do some chip tuning when you do the stealth ram.

You will make more power up top, but you are going to loose some low end torque.

My stock fuel rails won't work? I was looking on Summit for this and it stated that no aftermarket fuel rail would be required.

you'll see alot more gains above 4000rpms. a stronger top end and abit flatter torque curve

with stock cam, you wont really fully benefit from stealth ram swap. but look into some 1.6 ratio roller rockers and holley's adjustable fuel pressure regulator and that should help...

but a dyno tune would be optimal to make sure your air/fuel ratios are stayin good. i heard it might run rich at low rpms and lean up high.. so its kinda hard to tune it with a AFPR.

but all in all, it will more than likely make 5-10hp more than the TPI over the entire rpm range and a increase in peak power by about 20-30hp if tuned right... TPI kills over at 4500rpms where stealth ram should remain strong till 5200-5400 rpms or so with stock cam/mild ported heads. with the right gearing, so you can get your rpms up in that 4000-5300rpm range, then you'll definately feel that increase on performance.

Your link didnt send me to anything, but if it says you dont have to on the website, thats odd b.c in the magazine under the TPI part it say "Requires the use of a small-cap distributor and Holley fuel rails"

Id call holley up and ask them to make sure, or ask someone on here who has done the stealth ram swap. Still though, just the AFPR wouldn't hurt if you dont have to use aftermarket fuel rails. It only cost 60 dollars for a kit and can knock your ET down by a couple tenths
