MAF Runs out of AIR?

I have a pretty good built TPI my problem is when I rev up to redline then slam the 1 2 shift and try to get back in it it seems as though my car runs out of air.... I have to wait a couple seconds then get back in it and its fine....

Now if I do not let the throttle plates slap closed (meaning keep it at around 2000 RPMs or so) Shift then Punch it to the floor it seems to do fine...

It is that sudden stop of the air flow that seems to be causing my issues... Anyone ever have any issues like this and what was the resolve?

My car is doing it in 3rd. Its probably your knock sensor. Check your timing. I find that when my car is cooler it dont do it but when it gets to 220 it does it big time. Im getting a custom chip and will be using a 160 thermostat.

Did you retune the PROM for a little more fuel on decel, or use the stock DFCO settings? Is the throttle minimum air position set for at least 550 RPM?
