To All Those running a Walbro 255
I bought a Walbro 255 a few months back.....It worked like a champ.....Then all of a sudden I would get intermittent problems.....car would fall flat on face when punching gas or wouldn't idle....Tested everything I could think of...TPS,MAF,ESC,ICM,IAC,COIL,Cap&Rotor,AFPR,PLUGS,WIRES,Injectors,Fuel Pressure.....Everything seemed fine...
When I have the fuel pressure tester on it it was set right where it was supposed to be....
But a friend of mine told me one day cuz i was stuck in traffic then finally got it to run enough to pull off the road..
Hey how much gas do you have..... I responded a 1/4 tank why...I did not run out of fuel... He said is the pump submerged? I said no the design of my tank puts it above the gas at about a 1/4 tank why.....He said because if they are not always submerged they can heat up and stop working.....
Has anyone running a Walbro ever had this happen?

Also purge issues build pressure and make the pump work harder.
Same if the fuel tank vent valve doesnt let in air to displace gas used.
Also intermittently would lead me to check out all these variables first as well as your fuel pump relay and test for voltage at the pump.
Most of the time fuel pumps just up and quit on you or act up and die in a short time span.
This isnt always the case however. Check the basics out and go from there.
