89 formula running problums

Car: 1989 formula
Engine: tpi 5.0
Transmission: T5
89 formula running problums
i have a 89 formula and when it start's with no problums the first time it's hard to keep it running .but when it starts to warm up a bit it will idle up to about 1800 rpms and sevice engine light shuts off.and then when you shut the car off it s really hard to get started again you have to push gas down .thanks brandon
