LT4 Hotcam Kit in a 305TPI?

Would it be possisble? I mean, i know you can use the cam, but would it be possible to use the springs, rockers, and everything else that is included with the kit? Just curious. It's decently priced for everything that comes with it. At least i believe so. Thanks in advance!

i used a larger camshaft in my 89 formula 305 tpi and got it to run low 14's @ 95 MPH with just that mod and a 89 corvette bin file (has the video for the non believers) the car ran high 15's before the camswap. the cam really didnt make a whole lot of difference till i went radical with the timming and fuel maps. and NO, im not telliong a story, i have the whole video of that run at Gateway International Raceway. thanks

That cam is going to ''act'' bigger in a 305, it is ment for a 350. But, yes you can use it.

You may have to do some prom tunning, to get all that cam has to offer.

I know the cam can be used in the 305, but the question is would i be able to use everything else that is included with the kit? The rocker arms, valve springs and retainers? I'll get some head work done for free, hopefully. I'm currently at an automotive school (WyoTech) and labor charges are absoluetly free.

so you would be machining the heads to accept the lift?

Yes sir. Will the rocker arms and valve springs work with the 305 heads?

Biggest thing you'll need to do is to machine the heads for screw-in studs. The lift and spring pressure could easily pull the factory press-in studs out. Plus machining for the higher lift.
- Yes, the kit looks good, but you'd be better of getting a larger cam that would enable you to stick with 1.5 rockers(even if the numbers equate the same) SBC's already have ****-poor rocker geometry(thats why shaft rockers help sooooo much), 1.6's only make things worse.
