87 GTA 305 TPI Questions
Hey guys, im planning on ripping the motor out of my 87 GTA vert, ive been doing alot of research, and yeah a 350 would be nice, but i plan on keeping the car somwhat original being i dont know how many were made and i dont see very many, it does have a special edtion badge under the radio pod number 0432, anway the motor runs great it needs a valve job but for sitting for 4 years i dont think is to bad, but im planning on taking it to one of our local shops to have the block acid bathed, a valve job done, heads ported and polished and gasket matched, cylinders rehoned, along with all new gaskets from felpro. but ive decied on some small performance parts to add to this thing and i was wondering your opoion
1. SLP runners, ported and gasket matched
2. BBK TB
3. SLP intake
4. Flowmaster american thunder exhaust
5. Hooker headers
6. High flow catalytic converter
7. Cam of some sort, any suggestions?? i was thinking comp cams but i dont know which one would be appriate, being its not going to go to the track but i want a some what aggressive cam.
Also i was wondering if you guys would recommend being im taking the motor that far down if i should put new pistons in as well?? i was figuring becuase im not boring it just honing, i could just get a set of stock pistons?? or if anybody has any other thoughts let me know..
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Actually they did, it was done by ASC and i was lucky enough to recieve the original build sheet from the car, it also has special edition number 0412 under the radio pod.. im actually trying to find out how many they actually did that year and as much info as i can about it, being im in the process of touching it up a little.
