I have an 85 Z-28 that won't start.... There is NO fuel going to the engne when I tun the key... I have gone as far as checking the fuel pump (hot wire to the ALDL) and it is fine.

I've checked the fuse and it seems to be okay as well. There is a relay that is on the firewall on the drivers side that "clicks" when the key is turned...

Any ideas???

Is it a stock or replacement pump? Do you get pres. at the fuel line when you put power to the pump at the ALDL?

 

The car was given to me some time ago, and am just getting into it. It ran fine a few weeks ago and now nothing. I know nothing of the history of the pump.

I'm getting fuel at the rail, but not too much pressure as the battery is bad. I was jumping the car when I tried it. Gonna go get a new battery in the morning.

 

Get a good bat. check the fuel pres. and get back to us.

 

New battery, no fuel pressure. I am getting a trickle from the fuel rail.....

Must be the pump?.?.?.
