Oil in intake- Valve seals?
Topic says it all - I have a little oil in my TB, the car has a slight miss when cold, and I have a severe vaccum leak I can't see mto find and I've checked everything.
The IAC steps were in the 40~60 range which means major air leak - could I have a bad valve seal causing this - from what I know and read this sounds like the problem - seems like only on one cylender - car was running very strong before and now idles at 2K rpm when normal is 700~750 (programmed that way)
Is there any trick to changing the seals in the car besides the air tool ( I mean installation of the seal on the valve itself wise) I will remove my headers 1st. I read fel-pro positive type seals on both the intake and exhaust are the way to go, btw- the motor has only about 20K mi or less - sdpc crate - doesn't seem like it could be a piston ring blow by issue.
Any adivice is appreciated.....
Oh yeah and no apparent smoke from the exhaust.

Your valve would have to be flopping around in the guide to cause that kind of leak.
Are you 100% positive the intake is sealed properly to the heads? Thats alot more common area for hidden vacuum leak to be.
HAve the IAC/TPS been set and adjusted properly.
The TB will always have oil in it from the breather set unless it has been removed.
If it doesnt smoke ever on startup hot or cold, I would be hard pressed to say its your valve stem seals.
U have something bigger going on here.
Its more than likley a large vacuum leak or a sensor failing IAC stuck open etc.
Do some careful diagnostics and work from there.
I think your missing something.

you think it could be just my IAC?, I used a fram PVC valve recently, I read Vader recommend using an AC. The IAC is about a year old or so. My TB was always dry before. now I'm getting a little wet oil at the front of the TB, of course this is after some 5500+rpm blasts. Car just started to irradically idle up to 2K as well. are you thinking this is all just a bad IAC/PVC thing. (I hope- easy to change)

I would start there (PCV).
I prefer AC/Delco in almost all instances as well.
