Surging idle
Yesterday I replaced my EGR valve, which obviously means that I had to take the upper pluenum off to get to it. I put everything back on and now I got a bad vacuum leak that I can't find even spraying ether to race the idle. My car is an 87 and I connected the MAT sensor, FPR vacum line, brake booster and smog stuff all back up. Is there anything im missing? I have to play with the gas for a few revs until it will idle on its own. Could a bad runner-to-plenum seal be the culprit? I know small vacuum leaks can hurt, I just dont know where to look. I could only get 3or 4 of the 8 runner bolts to line up in the plenum, do you think that could cause it?
Also it is running in open loop and surging like crazy, could a vacuum leak cause that? I put the stock air filters back in because I think my k&ns need to be reoiled and it seems like that helped.

YOU MAY WANT TO LOOSEN THE LOWER RUNNER BOLTS, TO ALLOW YOU TO GET THE UPPER BOLTS STARTED AND THEN TIGHTEN EVERYTHING DOWN.
