What tpis got a metal distributor cover? wjy the switch to plastic?

Hello

Both my IROCZ and GTA have plastic distributor covers and i was wondering as to why did they change fom metal to plastic? Was there a hazard?

Yeah, you have to buy the vette cover to get metal. I think all f body cars were plastic/rubber.
