im looking to get some more power out of my 86. tpi 305. as of right now i have comp cam part number cs xe256h-10 wih a .447 intake lift and a .454 exhaust. with comp cam spring number 981-16. 1417-16 rocker arm 1.5. 7812-16 pushrods 5/16" flat tappet. edlbrock headers with a full 3' exhaust. fuel press. regulater set at 50p.s.i. but a code keeps coming up saying lean exhaust. im using stock injectors. with under drive pullys and a air foil. can any one help with the lean exhaust problem.

and before and of these mods with jst the cat back i ran 60' 2.033. 330' 6.232. 660' 9.743. 1000' 12.796 1/4 et was a 15.383 at 87.06 on street tires. with no mode except the cat back

 

Is the oxygen sensor clean and producing good signal? A weak sensor will create a '44' regardless of mixture.

 

i'll have to check it or just get a new one its cheap enuf. but it comes on when it wants to and goes off when it want to. and it keeps coming up once in a while code 21 for tps i changed it with a new one and it still come on sometimes
