harness help
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am installing a painless harness for my TPI. My factory harness has shielding around two of the wires "their entire length" from where it plugs into the distrubutor base all the way up to the computer plug. The painless does not have this shielding. Do I need it? If so where can I get it?
thx
Jeff

Sure its not just a twisted pair of wires together and not shielded?
I dont remember any shielded wires on stockers.
A few of them are twisted together though.
Get a pic and throw it up here.
I dont remember anything like that on the last Painless install we did.

No, it is definitely shielded. the whole length is wrapped in the blue foil with a leader wire wrapped inside covered by electrical tape. this runs from the ecm to the est.
