TPI fuel pump--runs, no fuel pressure

I just swapped TBI onto my truck with a TPI fuel pump. I'm wondering if anyone here has ever has this experience. We had fuel pressure enough to set the pressure with my adjustable regulator, and now, we have no fuel pressure.

The pump runs, and pumps fuel if you crack the return line at the tank, it sprays gas all over.

So, is it possible to have fuel flow and still have no pressure? I've never seen a fuel pump fail in this manner, and it's a BRAND NEW fuel pump.

If you KNOW the pump has pressure, but the gauge says otherwise, maybe the gauge? Also, maybe a piece of junk got into the schrader valve and plugged the gauge.

It's always the simplest things that we don't think would ever happen!
