383 w/stk ecm mass air?

Just getting ready to put 383 in my truck. Question is, will I be safe firing the engine with the ecm stk? The engine is flat top piston, Ported 993 heads, ported stk base and runners, crane powermax roller 214/220 @.050. The tpi is already in the truck, ran the 350 that was stk with minor issues. Engine in truck is wounded and I figured the 383 would be a better choice for towing. Any help would help, I don't want to wound this new engine.

It will run.

I would not trust driving it any real amount until you get some real time scan info and a wideband to verify it.

MAF only accomodates so much and you've now increased cubes and changed the cam.

Where would you suggest I take it to? I do have intentions of getting into doing programing for an upcoming megasquirt project but have too many time constraints at the present time and I need this truck up and going. I live in west central Indiana, close enought to Indy, Lafayette, or Danville Ill to make the trip worth while for the tune.
Thanks

When I bought my car, it had the stock chip, 383, your same cam, headers, afr heads, stock intake, and ran fine. Ran 13.7's @ 102 in that state.

It will start/run and probably drive ok, but I wouldnt get on the gas any. The stock MAF and ECM is easily overwhelmed by large displacement engines and the pulsewidth will go flat when the MAF maxes out.
