Help wanted

Hello, This is my first time on this forum. I am building a 1955 Studebaker with a 1986 350 W/TPI. I come to this forum because in the near furure I am going to need some tech assistance. The engine came out of an '86 'vette but since Camaro guys are generally so much better informed and willing to help someone I come to you guys instead a Corvette forum.
I will be running a 5 speed tranny out of a Camaro. Should I plan on using a different ECM rather than the one out of the 'vette?

If the vette had manual also, you should not have a problem running the vette ecm/harness.
