Advice for Time chain and Gears
Finally figured out what was wrong with my idling and thanks to everyone that helped.
Just wanting some input on things. Only part store i have around here is o`reilly and autozone.
i kind of shop between the 2 unless its a really important part and drive the 60 miles to a dealer.
Well found out that my time had jumped a tooth and i'm going to replace the gears and chain. Considering the only performance parts i have on it right now is fuel pump, coil, ign. Mod., Dist. and rotor, plugs. Should i just buy a normal one or autozone says they have a performance one and here is the text discription on it and would like some feed back..
-----------
HIGH PERFORMANCE; WITH ROLLER CAM; 3 KEYWAY; .250" DIAMETER SEAMLESS DOUBLE ROLLER; CENTER DISTANCE REDUCED .010 SET CONTAINS CHAIN, CAM GEAR, CRANK GEAR
------------
Thanks
Derrick

Stock replacement will be fine. Some of the double rollers will hit the block where the 3 oil galley plugs are and require some grinding for clearance.
O'Reilly's stocks a Cloyes 9-1100SP true roller set for about $45.00, and they seem to fit fine. A stock replacement set with iron cam gear and silent chain is also a good choice, and very strong chain (albeit a little heavier).
