so about my setup..

Well i ran her again friday. I burned up my nittos so i was running on fuzion zri's @ i believe 35psi. I went 14.222 @ 100.01mph. I had my gf (around 108lbs) in the car and had some overheating problems...i also had a throttle body mount filter sucking hot air heh. My 60 foot was 2.244. Since my run on nittos (13.6 @ 100mph) i have cut off my cat, synthetic fluids, lakewood lower control arms and a jegster adjustalbe panhard bar and i believe i didnt have the underdrive pullies when i ran 13.6 either.

here's my setup..

Engine
-350 bored .30 over to a 355
-K&B Claimer Domed(popup)hypereutectic pistons
-Comp Cams Roller Cam - 224I,230E @.50/
.513"I,.520"E
-Comp Cams roller tipped rockers (1.52:1)
-Comp Cams 1.437 dia duel valve springs
-Comp Cams locks, retainers and 11/32 teflon seals
-Heads resurfaced and machined to accept cam hardware
-Ported stock cast iron heads
-Comp Cams Pushrods (std length)
-Underdrive crank pulley
-Mr. Gasket 160* thermostat
-Throttle body bypass
-Adjustable fan relays (185 on/or bypass with fan switch)
-Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil

Intake and fuel
-Ported stock TPI upper and lower intake
-BBK adjustable fuel pressure regulator (35-70 PSI)
-Gutted airbox with K&N filters
-Stock 22# injectors (cleaned)

Exhaust
-Heddman 1 5/8" shorty headers
-Heddman 2 1/2 inch Y pipe
-3 inch custom cat-less catback with a flowmaster muffler

Ignition and computer
-Taylor 8mm wires
-Accel performance cap and rotor
-MSD Blaster coil
-Mallory coil wire
-Custom engine matched prom from pcmforless.com

Transmission and Rearend
-Corvette Servo
-Zexel Torsen limited slip
-3.73 gears
-3 inch aluminum driveshaft
-Hurst Hot Shift Synthetic ATF
-Polyurethane transmission mount

Suspension, Brakes and Tires
-Front - Ventus 245's, Rear - Fuzion ZRi's 245's
-Drag tires - 245/R50 16 Nitto 555R drag radials
-Lakewood Lower control arms
-Jegster adjustable panhard bar

I know i should be running faster. I'm guessing it has ALOT to do with tuning and the fact that im still running a, for the most part, stock intake. Suggestions gentleman...

I think it has alot to do with your 60' foot. Maybe a set of relocation brackets will help? I don't know what quality those tires are but they seem to be adding to the problem? I don't know. It just seems that you have a traction problem to me.

well i went 13.6 with a 1.9 sixty foot.

And my first run ever was a 14.3 @ 100mph with a i believe a 2.4 sixty foot. My real concern here is that even with the mods i did...i dont see much of an improvement. I have a feeling the cam/intake combo is really beginning to hurt me alot..

The TPI does hurt performance but there are guys on here with TPI and basic mods running 13.9-13.7 so your not far off.

I know I'm bringing this back from the dead but you could always pop for some aftermarket runners and go from there. Take a look at my setup and you'll see that we pretty much have the same setup (except for gears) and I should be a low 13 with traction. I don't think I'll have a problem hitting those numbers either. I'll be swapping out my rear over the winter months for a '95 Z28 rear with tons of toys including some Richmond 3.73's. It will be getting a Edelbrock Hi-flow base as well.

My car will be dyno'd on Saturday (Nov.4th), I'll let you know what happens.
