Plenum removal
I know what the first thing someone is going to say ...
Well, I have, and I can't come up with any answers.
I want to remove my plenum in order to polish it. My problem is that I'm a little scared to do this without any instruction from someone with experience.
Is there anything special I need to do or watch out for? Do I just go ahead and take out any bolt, disconnect any vacuum line and take off any component I see?
Thanks in advance for any input!

pretty much... take the intake tube off....unplug all the vaccum lines...unbolt the throttle cables from the plenum then unbolt the throttle body from the plenum.... then just unbolt all the torx's bolts holding the plenum to the runners...

Couple of tips:
-Remove the plenum bolts carefully. Also, be extra careful resinstalling them as not to strip the threads on the plenum. It can be fixed by heli-coil.
-Plenum bolts are different sizes. Make sure you keep track of where they go.
-Loosen the lower bolts so the runners move easily to aid reinstallation.
-Buy a GOOD gasket set. Do not reuse your old ones or you risk leaks.
-Clean the back of the throttle body, inside of plenum while you have it removed.
-Take your time. It is incredibly easy and should not be difficult.

This is what I did:
Mark vaccum lines so you know where they go. (I took pics with my camera just in case).
Remove vaccum lines.
Remove throttle body bolts (4)
Remove plenum bolts
Tip the plenum so the back is sticking up, then remove IAC connector and brake booster vaccum line. Then just lift it out. You might need some muscle to break the plenum loose from the runners.

OK, finally got to work on this today. I got all my bolts out (I think) and my vac lines disconnected (I think), but my plenum won't budge. When I pull on it, it feels like it is still connected somewhere. Here's what I have done (circled in yellow):
I have disconnected the three lines in the passenger side rear. I have disconnected the line to the brake booster in the driver's side rear. I have disconnected the throttle cables.
Also, I have obviously removed the runner bolts and the 4 throttle body bolts.
Is anything other than just age and friction holding this thing on? Thanks!

if you removed all the runner and throttle body bolts and its still not coming out its definetly just kinda stuck in there... give it a tap with a hammer or pry it up and it should come right out.... remember to unplug the IAT sensor on the bottom of the plenum...
