coolant fan
well my coolant fan never turns off when i shut the car off, it usually runs for a minute or so afterwards, and today it never shut off, so when i came out of school to go home my battery had died. it is ground to something that only turns on when the key is turned, so i dont know if the guy i bought it from ground it there cuz he thoughtit was a good idea or what... are they supposed to do that? what do you guys think

Check the temperature sensor on the back side of the passenger side head. It may have fallen/melted off and grounding out against somthing.

Mine has done that a few times. I just cut the key to the on position (maybe cranked it) and back to the off position and the fan cut off.
The fan should cut off when the key is off. If you hear the fan running then it probably will not cut off on its own.
Try replacing the relay if they are not too expensive.
