Intermittent Code 24 and 33
Here's the scoop guys,
Every now and then, while driving the SES light will appear and then the car runs like crap. The car wants to die. If I act quickly enough and check the codes. I get a 24 which is VSS and 33 MAF low voltage.
If I restart the car after a minute it runs fine and light will go away for another hour or so. Then when it comes back, the second it does, the car runs like crap. Till I restart again.
I have replaced,
both MAF relays,
TPS,
IAC,
Coil.
ICM,
I did not change the MAF sensor yet, due to the price. I have a feeling it is the ECM taking a dump. Anyone have in insight?

what year tpi setup. i have an 85 maf tpi setup i swapped in my s10 thats doing exactly this, however you dont even have to wait a minute to get it to run properly again. all i do is throw the truck in neutral, shut it off, turn it back on and blammo its perfect again for another 30mins to an hour. i also have no vss so whenever the truck goes into od and back out the light comes on.

MAF failure is usually a constant. They 98% of the time work or dont, u occasionally see one that is skewed enough to run rich but otherwise run ok.
Check all wiring for afffected components carefully.
Test them end to end with a volt meter and wiggle them down there length to check.
Pay carefulla ttention to MAF connector and ecm connectors.
Thouroughly clean test and tighten grounds on rear pass cyl head.
