Looking for advice on tpi 383 finish build from a few years back

Hey guys, I used to be part of this forum long time ago for a few years. I havent really been in here much in the last 2 years or so. My 89 forumla is sitting in the yard rusting and the 383 build i started is just sitting in the garage. I had brand new afr 195 heads i turned around and resold. Now it looks like i may need a motor for my daily driver chevy 1500.

So im thinking of finishing the 383 i never did and put it in my truck. Only problem is things have changed and new products are out. So im kinda lost in the TPI world.

I was thinking of keeping the computer just take it out of my bird and put it in my truck. Or carburated might be better im not sure thats why im asking.

Basically i have a l98 block that was bored 30 over and has a eagle 383 stroker kit with all new internals professinaly built. I have stock heads just sitting on the motor however they are worthless with my LT4 hotcam.

So i was wondering would vortech heads work with my cam ? or is the lift still going to be to big for those heads. Allso should i stay EFI or go carb with the new tip to carb intakes i have seen.

I lost most of the bolts and brackets for the front of the motor. But i see Summit now sales the whole kit for a TPI motor. So really i just need a solution for a intake and heads.

Im looking to maximize my hp yet keep my cost down some. I hate to buy AFR heads again.

I like to get some use out of the money pit it was when building that 383. Now i look at it and its just sitting there in the shed. Yet on the same token i love to get close to 400 poines out of her with vortech heads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Axle/Gears: Always the good ones
Stock Vortec heads wont work.

U will need to cut down the spring seat(find a pic and look you will see what I mean)

Springs will also need to be upgraded.

Its stilla cheap low buck alternative.
