barely starts

I just finished my engine and started it for the first time. The engine wont run for more than 10 seconds by just turning the key without me openeing the butterfly on the TB.

Wont idle low enough to set ingnition timing.
fuel pressure about 52 psi with engine ideling as well as I can get it.

24 lb injectors

any thoughts?

thx

jeff

Re: idling issue..

Can you add a little more information? we have no idea which engine or year you have, if it's basically stock with some sort of larger injectors? Does the idle smooth out at all? If it does, what RPM does that happen at, what is the idle RPM when it first fires, does it change once it comes up to temp?

first wild guess would be to have you spray carb cleaner all around the intake plenum to eliminate vaccuum leaks. Other than that, you';ve got to help us help you. Nitro

me, I just put another 1/4 turn into them. everything was zero lashed but as I explained to the tech at comp cams when I installed the roller lifters some of them were not pumped up all the way and some were. I was told it did not matter and I was going to final adjust after the engine was warm and ideling

thx
