could tps cause a rich condition

could tps cause a rich condition

could a bad tps or a tps out of adjustment cause me to run pig rich?

Maybe if it was stuck to a high throttle reading, putting it in PE mode, but then it would probably throw a MAF code, or TPS code (but not sure if it would even check for codes if it wasn't tooo far out of range). It wouldn't be PIG rich either, just 20-25% rich or so. Any other symptoms? Any check engine light / trouble code? Is the fuel pressure ok? Is the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line connected?

When you say pig rich, is it blowing lots of smoke and barely running and fouling plugs, or just smells rich?
