more ?'s about the turnover tpi
ok last thread i posted the tpi 350 would not start due to missing mass air flow sensor well i got a new sensor ITS ALIVE!! ITS ALIVE!! its been three years since i heard it run ,the parts givin to me as a early birthday gift from my gyrl .
Ok now that's out of my system lets get down to buisness the car starts in about 5 or 6 turns instead of 25 i replaced the fuel pump relay and i think that cut some of those turns down but the service engin soon light still does not light when the ignition is turned to the on position, idles a little rough i think that is old gas causing that i will know in a couple of days i put in new gas fuel treatment and ooctain boost to help the old gas any ideas what could bee the source of the service engin soon light? i will post pics soon as i clean it up a little bit so look out for them its not the best looking thing but its my baby thanx.

I hate to break this to ya, but "old gas treatment" is a scam, IMHO. :/ You're better off just draining the tank to get that stuff out of there.

Get all the old gas out.
Get fresh in.
If it was in there that long I would recommend cleaning the injectors and replacing fuel filter and the like also.
Sea Foam or B12 in the tank with fresh gas and/or also use it in the engine.
Techron is the only over the counter dump in tank treatment recognized by GM

Okay, I hear all these things about sea foam, and it seems the same as Lucas. Some say it is a wondercure. Others say it is the devil. I'd rather not trust it, especially where a lot of money could go to waste. You *should* clean out your lines, injectors, and the like. But I wouldn't run anything through them other than gas. Definately drain the gas tank, and take the injectors out and have them cleaned. The fuel rail and lines shouldn't be that bad, but you might want to blow any gas out of them (after you remove the filter!) using compressed air or something. I can't see how this would hurt anything, but if I'm wrong, please correct me. Also, as I don't think this tank has a drain plug, replace the pump if you drop it. And anything else up there that needs repairs. No need doing the job again later.
