Wow, thats one of the better threads I have read on this board. Was impressed to see such an improvement from just new tires and tune up.
You got a 1.8 or 1.9 in the 60' with street tires? Stock suspension?

No. my 60 times were in the 2.1-2.2 range. Hopefully I can get my car to dip in the 1.9's so I can run 13's. It will probably take some sticky tires.

Well it wasnt just the tires and the tune up. I did remove the smog pump, descreen the maf, bypass the throttle body, added an air foil and Accel ignition module, and advanced the timing a few degrees. I also recharged the flux capaciter too!

Why not say "I advanced the timing and added a couple things", in the first place?
Oh, and just change the flux capaciter, why fuss with recharging it all the time?

if you have a lock up converter in the trans, then 3200 wouldnt be a bad choice. you can daily drive that. i know guys doing 3600 stalls daily drivin

If i had a stall that big i would have to sell my car because i would blow through to many tires and tickets

I think a 3,200 stall should be perfect for a daily driven HSR setup with Vortec heads. I'm gonna run a decent sized cam too! My springs are rated to .550 lift. I don't really wanna push .525 though. I want my drivetrain to be safe and my computer easily tuneable!
