Want to hook up emission tubes right

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. I've gotten alot of great info and ideas from your posts.
I've got a 1987 Firebird w/TPI I blew the engine last year and finally got a 4 bolt main to replace it with. I have since forgoten how the emissions tubes go on. I've read alot of posts on how to remove this, but I'd rather do it origanal. I've got the tubes on the exhaust manifods and the smog pump on the car. Everything else is in a box. HELP.

Are you asking about the air injection plumbing, or the vacuum routing?

Here are some pics to help explain what I have. The last is someones idea of a plug on the tubes. What side up do I install the contraption in the first pic and to what bolts? Even a picture of one done the right would be a big help.
Thanx in advance.

The A.I.R. pump mounts on the right side of the engine, below the alternator.

A check valve is mounted to the distribution tubes on each exhaust manifold:

A hose connects from the left (driver side) check valve to a steel tube routed around the rear of the engine. The tube has a "T" fitting where it emerges on the right side of the engine. The top outlet of the "T" connects via a short hose to the RH check valve. The steel tube continues forward to connect to the LH (larger) outlet on the rear of the air management (diverter) valve via a short molded hose.

The RH (smaller and outboard) outlet on the diverter valve connects to a hose routing rearward. This hose has another check valve and steel tubing routing rearward and downward to the catalytic converter.

The lower connection on the diverter valve is hosed to the pump, and the top connection is hosed to the dump/muffler:

Thank you soooooo much. I'm gonna go out and play now. The pictures explain alot. I was afraid I would be talked out of doing this. Now I'm a happy camper.

Uh oh. The tube that comes from the right hand exhaust points to the front of the engine. What now? Change the tubes .
