I have a Late 85 Camaro Z28 with a stock 305 carb. I recently purchased a 85 Corvette L98 5.7 Liter 350 Tuned Port Engine with everything out of the car. (Harness, MAF, ETC) Would i need a special harness to convert my car to TPI and can i switch the tuneport i purchase to MAP since i heard it is a better? Any ideas personal opionions, Pictures and stories are welcome please.

You'll need a custom built harness to do the conversion. If you get ahold of a 1985 Camaro TPI harness, you'll notice it will not directly plug in under the dash of your carbureted car. Your dash wiring is missing connector C221 (Injectors) and C207 is pinned differently.

There are not enough ignition power sources going through the dash harness to power the TPI system in the same way as the TPI equipped cars.

With the right harness, the conversion won't be a big deal. (as far as electronics go). The only other tricky part is the fuel system. Beyond that, the conversion is just time consuming.
