question about setting idle screw
let the IAC click for a minute, unplugging it, disconnected timing wire.
if i back the idle screw all the way off the blades so it is not pushing them open at all, when i try to crank the engine over, should it run? (no air getting through?) or what should the general RPM be with the blades no opened and the IAC disconnected..?

You need to adjust the idle screw while its running. Do no back it all the way off and then start it cause it will not run.

oh you know what happened, i would make the iac extend all the way and wait the minute, then i would turn the car off and unplug it, and after looking through so many posts i finally found that someone else did that and mentioned it and thats when i remembered to do it before you turn the key off, because i would back the screw off all the way and still be getting 900rpm in park, which is why i asked.
thanks
thanks
