What should be my next upgrade?

I just upgraded to a 52mm Throttle body with Edlebrock Hi-Flo runners and 24 lbs accel fuel injectors. I am not looking to spend too much time or money, I just want the car to run well (overall). I figure I might as well upgrade now since I have the plenum and runners apart.

Should I be looking at an AFPR? or changing my intake base? (btw, my heads and cam are stock). Is there a good base that is worth upgrading to? Or should I get my existing base ported? I welcome any and all suggestions, and If you know a good machine shop that can do the work...I live in Woodbridge, VA (about 30 minutes south of Washington DC).

I don't know how difficult it is to change the cam (never done it). But if that is the next step I should take...Anybody know a good mechanic in VA? or anybody wanna give me a hand, I would love to learn. Ofcourse I would pay you for your time,

rate has gotta be reasonable

I had a good mechanic, but he is closing his shop and moving to FL.

Thanks.

while you have it apart, I'd swap the cam. My roller cam was $280.00. Then you need new springs, valve seals, & I would swap the timing chain and gears also.
You have to take everything apart to swap the cam...why not do it now if you have the time and money. Yes you are going to need a AFPR. Everything I did is in my sig.

Thanks, that is just the type of advice i was looking for.

I have my Haynes manual and I am not afraid to give it a try. Anything you can think of that will make changing the cam difficult.

Anybody else...thoughts...suggestions. I welcome all input.

Only a couple things I can see you needing if you don't take off the heads. A special tool you thread into the spark plug holes and fill the cylinder with air. Then get a spring compressor, then you can swap all your springs and valve seals without dropping your valves into the piston holes. It holds the intake and exhaust valves up.
