Few questions for TPI newbie
Ok well I have a 91 Firebird LB9 sitting outside and I am trying to produce a master plan for it.
Ok first off after a tune up, I think it would be more benficial to try and come up with a CAI instead of changing the stock trashy filter. Since the car is a speed density car, how can I go about doing this without getting a headache? I thought maybe just buy a kit off of ebay?
Also next I wanna do the timing after the tune-up, what is the stock timing at, like 6 degrees advanced? What kind of gas is supposed to go into a stock 305 tpi anyway, 93 octane? Do I want 8 or 10 degrees advanced?
Thanks for any help you guys can come up with, ive done alot of research through the search method to figure out what else I needed to know.

Check my sig for some ideas. If your car is an auto, you would have 2.73 gears. I would definitely look at doing a gear swap, ie 3.42s, it will make your car a lot more fun to drive. You can rig up your own CAI setup by buying a 88-89 Firebird intake elbow, K&N, 12" pipe, a clamp, and a 90* elbow from:
