the stock GM distributor should be fine to atleast 350HP, probably plenty more but i forget the exact number. coil is what i would worry about first.

The distributor is just a firing mechanism. I run a stock replacement from NAPA and I have no problems at all. I also run a Crane HI-6S and coil with the ignition.

The stock external coil dizzy is fine. Just use a good 8 pin hei module (GM/Delco), most aftermarket modules are crap. Use a good cap and rotor like an MSD. I bought a reman GM dizzy (CarDone) from kragens and it works just fine, my original dizzy had worn out bearings and bad shaft wobble. For the external coil, use a good aftermarket coil like the MSD 8226. Also use 8mm spiral core plug wires. All that should be perfectly good for a street motor unless it is extreme. I'm running all that and it works great.

I have that one on my car. what is the benefit of this one, other than the nice shiny shaft?
