They're the same cam, except the LT1 has a longer pin in the front to drive the water pump. Cut this pin off to the same size as the pin on your L98 camshaft, and you're fine.

The specs are so similar, I don't see why you would want to swap. Go aftermarket or leave it alone.

yeah, the LT1 cam is a pretty mild upgrade (i was thinking about doing this upgrade myself). If your willing to go through the trouble of replacing a cam, I would go with at least a LT4 cam.
