TPS Voltage and IAC!!!
TPS Voltage and IAC!!!
when the scanner is hooked up and it is not running the tps voltage is going all over the place and it says that the throttle it is at 30%! i have no clue why this is and it is making the truck run like crap, very sparatic idle and you can hear the iac opening and closing a lot and then all of the sudden it will just come out of it and idle normal and the voltage will be at .36 and the iac is closed. i had this problem a while back and it came out of it and now it is doing it again and i really have no clue what the prob is. i have replaced the tps and the iac and they had no effect. is this a sign of a bad ECM or what? sorry for the long post, trin to vent a little. thanks a lot

How did you go about replacing the TPS and IAC? A voltage of 0.36V for the TPS is way too low. Read the tech articles on the home page.
i replaced them like 2 months ago, i adjusted it to .54 and it makes no difference. on my snap-on scanner it says to set it between .36 and .60. o reall y wish i could figure this thing out, any help? PLEASE?!?

I set my TPS at idle at .60 V to 0.64 V.... Also, I run about 8* static timing. And I set the idle RPM (due to my many mods) to 650 RPM, with the intent to have the minimum IAC count value at idle, so I am looking for about 20 counts from the IAC at 750 RPM with everything hooked up after the TPS/IAC/minimum idle air procedures. When you set the static timing, do not forget the unplug that wire one connector back by the firewall on the passenger side.
