Swapping small cap distributor connector for a large cap connector
Guys, does anyone know who sells a replacement large cap connector?
I'm having a time finding one of those. I have a harness for my TPI swap that uses a small cap connector and I am using a large cap distributor. Seems kinda cheesy to ask for help like this... but by the time I get home from work most nights I have about three hours before I have to go back to bed (I don't have a lot of time to look right now between my job and my infant son).
Appreciate the help!

www.tpiparts.net has them, I highly recommend them.

The BATT and TACH connections are simple enough.... Big pink wire on your small cap connector goes to BATT and the smaller white wire on that same connector goes to TACH on your large cap distributor. Large cap HEIs just use spade connectors so hooking it up is easy. If you want the "proper" connectors you can find them in you local parts store's specialty electrical parts catalog, but commonly available spade connectors will serve the same basic purpose.
HOWEVER, if you're using a Computer Controlled large cap HEI distributor I am not sure the connections back to the ECM are so easy to hook up. In short, I don't think a later model CC HEI "talks" to the ECM in the same way as an earlier large cap CC HEI does. In this case you might be better off converting to a later small cap distributor and external coil- then you jsut plug everything right in to your harness without any rewiring. You can pick up a junkyard small cap HEI, coil (and the pigtail connector that goes between them!) for cheap to get you up and running.
