i accidently hooked a jumper between terminals f and e on aldl in my 86 iroc 305,tpi,700r4 did i fry my tcc selenoid?would this damage the ecm?any help would be greatly appreciated!thanx,joe

 

well what happened when you did this? did you hear a pop or see anything burnt or anything?

 

NO none that i remember but my car is surging at low speeds and the tranny is slipping when sswitching gears

 

Doing that would not cause the trans to slip at all, the only thing that the computer needs from the trans is 4th gear switch (lets the comp. know when it is in 4th) and tcc solnoid.

 

SO WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE TCC SOLENOID DO ?AND IF MY ECM IS IN ''BASIC STRATEGY''MODE WOULD THAT CAUSE THE TRANS TO SLIP ,CAUSE IT ONLY SLIPS A LITTLE WHEN SWITCHING GEARS BUT IT NEVER DID THAT BFORE ,KICK DOWN IS SET RIGHT AND ITS FULL OF FLUID.ANY IDEAS?THANX ,JOE

 

Ive jumped everything in the ALDL and never had a problem with it burning anything or breaking anything ^.^ guess i had good luck
