What VC vacuum is necessary
I've found that I need to go tall perimeter in the valve cover department for my engine. Unfortunately the VC's I want only have 1 hole per side. So my questions are:
Does the breather have to go to the TB or can I just cap the TB port and throw in a breather on the VC?
From what I understand, PCV is necessary. True? Can I just throw on another breather?

Either a tube to the TB like the stock setup, or plug the fitting on the TB and use a breather, up to you.

you need to pull gasesand fumes and such out of the crankcase either through the block or through a VC or wherever possible, the VC has been the place GM has chosen to have it located and has been connected to a vacuum source since 1968
before then it was a road draft tube out the rear of the block
you will need a filtered return to replace the air sucked out of the crankcase due to the vacuum source sucking it out through the PCV
and again the VC has always been the location GM has put this
its a kind of a block circulation process but air(vacuum) instead of water(pressure)
good luck

Wow. These responses were never emailed to me. Thanks for the help. I guess i'll stick with GM's routing.
