Hello fellow Third genners ,
I have an 86 z28 w/tpi and Iam experiencing a very audible click from the fpr at all rpms .I am showing 44 lbs of pressure on the guage which "flutters" a bit.Should I be looking for a line restriction here? ,....possibly a vacum leak? I appreciate any help you can send.

are you sure that it isn't the injectors you are hearing?

 

i am experiencing this exact same problem does anyone know what this could be or could anyone tell me what to check i have to have it fixed before april 24th when i switch duty stations....any help would be great

 

What kind of FPR? I installed new heads (TFS) TPIS intake, edelbrock runners and a holley (POS) FPR on my brand new motor and it has ticked loudly since day 1. It sounds like a badly misadjusted solid camshaft! Its embarassing. I even pulled the intake off to see if I had a bad (brand new) gm roller lifter. The sound comes right from the center, rear portion of the intake. If I rest my fingers on the FPR I can feel the click. Needless to say I have a new set of intake gaskets on my counter as we speak, and the stock one is going back in. The injectors are bosch/ford injectors but I ran them in my old motor with no issues before this new motor went in last spring........so....... YES!
