thinking about sevicing my injectors
i am thinking of giving a go at servicing my injectors (88-350 tpi) because i suspect they are either clogged or possibly leaking .
i am going to buy a set of pintle caps, o-rings, filters and changing them myself .
all injectors test at 14ohm with a dmm .
i am wondering if any1 else here has done this that may have some tips or suggestions .
like if you have done this what did you use to clean out the injectors ?
any input is helpful . thanks ..

Re: thinking about sevicing my injectors
try running some injector cleaner through them first, in case they dont need to be serviced, it will save you a bit of money and its only about 5-6$ a bottle

Re: thinking about sevicing my injectors
what do you mean ? you mean put some in my tank ? i already do that on a regular basis . i am pulling the injectors soon because the car is surging and i have gone over everything else . the parts to service them are only about $25 total (not including plenum gaskets) so if i have them out i am going to try it .
Re: thinking about sevicing my injectors
Your '88 may have Rochester/Bosch injectors instead of Multecs. That would be good, since they seem to be a bit more durable and reliable.
You can try cleaning them yourself, but maKe sure the inlet screens get cleaned or replaced. It would also be good to reverse flush the injectors. Before you go through all the trouble of installing them and hoping that they are working properly, test the output flow of each injector to make sure they are relatively equal.

I had mine tested/cleaned/flowmatched at cruzinperformance.com and was very pleased. My injectors look brand new and no longer leak anymore.

I payed to have mine psyonically cleaned and flowmatched . It's a must with used injecotrs I think . The guy I got my motor off of toasted his in 10'000 km's . Just because he didn;t do that and had a couple really lean cylinders
