No timing marks?

So i had my distributor out the other day, and some how my oil pump ended up out of alignment, and there are no marks on the timing chain cover. any suggestions? I'm thinking about buying an engine dress up kit from summit, so that I'll have the marks. Or is there another way to do it?

Re: No timing marks?

if just the oil pump shaft got out of alignment then stick a long screwdriver down there and realign it.

As long as the engine wasn't turned over your timing should still be right on!
