Swap to TPI Speed Density from TBI

Hi Guy's,

I am converting over to a Tpi system from Tbi on a 91 RS Vert

New loom arrived today. Had a quick look at it tonight can match most of the connectors up except two cut orange wires over on the drivers side and two pairs of wires on the passenger side which look like they are near the battery. The wires near the battery are a pair of black wires, one with a red tracer, and a pair of black wires, one with a purple tracer. The orange wires are on the same part of the loom that goes to the brake master cylinder, oil preasure switch and emissions canister.

Anyone know what these two orange, and the two pairs of black wires are for?

Thanks,

Alex

Re: Swap to TPI Speed Density from TBI

Hi,

I now know what the two pairs of black wires are for. They are for the dual fan setup. Still don't know what the two orange wires are for. Also my old TBI harness had a plug that went to the powersteering lines but the tpi harness does not??

Also up by the plenum I have a plug with a yellow wire and a black wire. Where does this go??

Thanks,

Alex

Thanks for the article, I followed your charts. I have a question on some wires left over. These are on the 746 harness. They are as follows:-

B7 which you have as knock sensor is this the ESC control.

C8 Powersteering input
C9 Crank Input

C15 LH Fuel injector control
C16 RH Fuel injector control

Thanks,

Alex
