Coin in the FPR trick?

I have heard the story of increasing the fuel pressure by installing a coin in it. What coin do you use ( nickle is thicker than a dime..and so on) and what is the approx gain. I am going back to the stock FPR and throwing my leaking ***, noisy Holley POS in the garbage.

Check out what 83crossfireTA did to his to make it adjustable...

I cut the spring out of mine and used an inline AFPR in the return line.

Re: Coin in the FPR trick?

I posted a question about doing this a while back. Got no response. Something like this? http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/pdetail.php?prod=15
Would you install it in the feed line or return. What do you do with the stock? Just cut the diaphram so its just a gasket and plug the vacuum port? I like the fact that you can locate it away from the plenum.

As I said, I cut the spring and put mine in the return line. No need to plug the vacuum port if you cut the spring because the diaphram will still be there.
