i have a 91 z28 305 pretty much stock but with stage 2 hot chip air foil tb bypass 160 thermostat catback dual exaust accel coil and my car would smoke the tires at launch with regular stp air filters but when i put k&n filters in place of them it seems to dog my car out and really doesnt kick in power until i hit bout 35 to 45 mph any advice would be apreciated got me baffled it wont even chirp tires at all unless i put the plain jane filters back in

 

I didn't know filters could make that much of a dramatic change. I have old K&N's and my car smokes the tires (all stock except Dynomax exhaust).

 

ya got me baffled i figured it would improve not make worse i think my car runs rich i smell gas coming out the exaust i wonder if that maybe would have somthing to do with it
