TPS .54v or .71v????
I have a 89 rs 305, that the previous owner heavily modded, its now a MAP tpi, no maf sensor. I read at iroc zone that the tps should be at .71 for map cars, is this true?? I put it at .54, it was at .46 before. Does it need to be .54 or .71, im confused.

I do not have a MAP car, but I would think that the TPS should be set the same for either. Set it at 0.62 to 0.64V, thats where I am running my MAF car.

Re: TPS .54v or .71v????
TPS should always be between .5 and .6
im running .55 on my MAF, also check it at wide open throttle and make sure it reads close to 5 volts max. if it doesnt then u need a new TPS

thats one way, just use a code scanner, i used one and it reads the TPS voltage. u could do it that way if u want tho, its ont he passenger side of the TB, its black, 2 torx screws and be careful tighting them they are aluminum and u could snap them off or break the TPS.
