Who wants to spend my money for me?
Well FINALLY my insurance settlement should be coming through. (got rear ended by an escalade while sitting still on my bike last year, broke my back in 2 places, totalled my BEAUTIFUL GSX-R 750, and left me in the trauma center!
)
I should have about $1500 to invest into my motor.
Im thinking Vortec heads, LT4 hotcam, and some high perf runners. How bad is a TPI setup with ported pleneum, 58mm TB and ported base? Can i make it flow well enough for a hotcam to reach its potential?
Maybe i should leave this more open ended, how to i make the most out of $1500 under my hood? Im looking for heads/cam/intake. my block is in really good shape for 110k miles. I think the 2.77 gears are to thank for that. (unless im really thrashing it it never goes above 2500rpm) Its a roller block, so my cam choices are somewhat limited but summit sells a complete LT4 hotcam kit for like $500 with 1.6rr's and pushrods, springs, the works!
Also, who makes a TPI base that will fit vortecs? Can i modify my base to work?
Spend my $1500 for me!!!

Re: Who wants to spend my money for me?
Personally, I'd spend the money on the heads, cam & intake base, rather than runners - the reason for that is that you're going to have the entire intake off anyway to add the heads & cam, you might as well install the base while it's already taken apart!
Then, when you have the money for runners, adding those will be a piece of cake! (Compared to pulling the intake again...)
Whichever route you decide to go with it, good luck, with the car, & with your back.
