what's the correct resistance of injectors?

so,, i've read some differing opinions on this, between 14-16 ohms, over 12, what's an injector in good condition supposed to read at? and whats it mean when its a higher resistance vs a lower resistance?

They should be 14-16 ohms when cold, and more than 12 when hot. They should all measure within 2 ohms of each other at the same temperature. If you have 7 at 15 ohms and one at 12 ohms then that one *could* be a problem. If you have any less than 10 ohms its definitely bad.

Re: what's the correct resistance of injectors?

finally got around to doin this, thought it would be way harder then it ended up being dur.. 16 ohms steady on a very cool motor, all injectors. I was pretty surprised considering the motors poor performance but i have a handful of things working against me i have to take care of still.

i've been reading up on the lucas injectors, they have a pretty poor reputation but since mine are reading top notch im wondering if i need to worry about them or not at this stage...

I wouldn't. You haven't checked them hot but typically you'd get an indication with a cold reading.

Re: what's the correct resistance of injectors?

i think you're right, they were all reading 16 plus ohms, some would read 17 or 18 for a bit then trickle down to 16, should be allright. thanks for the reply
