Need TPI engine rebuild help Please

Hi guys ,
ihave a 1987 350 camaro with 28k miles on it and the oil screen was gummed up but anyway it spun a rod & main bearings. my question is i want to keep it stock looking but i want to get some more power out of the engine without changing the plentum etc, i would like to maybe get a bigger cam but i dont know a whole lot about these engine and not finding very much on the resources on it either.
please help me out here.
